A donor-advised fund is a charitable investment account that allows individuals to contribute assets to support charities while receiving tax benefits.
DAFPay is one of our donation payment methods. Once you click “DAFPay” you will find your DAF program among the list. If you have not established a Donor-Advised Fund (DAF), contact your financial advisor and ask whether a DAF could be right for you.

To recommend a grant from your DAF, follow these steps:
Log in to your DAF account with your sponsoring organization.
Search for We Plant it Forward using our Tax ID Number: 85-3166419
Enter the amount you would like to donate.
Specify whether the donation should go to the general fund or a specific program.
Submit your grant recommendation. Once the recommendation is reviewed and approved by the sponsoring organization, the funds will be distributed to WPiF.

Tax Efficiency: Contributions to a DAF are tax-deductible in the year they are made, and any investment growth within the fund is tax-free.
Flexibility: You can recommend grants to charitable organizations at any time, giving you control over when and how your funds are distributed, without the need to complete a donation in a single year.
Simplicity: DAFs handle all the recordkeeping, disbursements, and tax receipts, making it easy to manage charitable giving with minimal administrative effort.
No Transaction Fees: Once your grant recommendation is approved, 100% of your donation goes to the charity of your choice, with no transaction fees.

Yes, donations to We Plant it Forward through your DAF are tax-deductible. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, any contribution you make to us via DAF qualifies for an immediate tax deduction. When you donate to your DAF, you receive the tax deduction at the time of the contribution, even if the grant is distributed to us later.

Yes, you can choose to remain anonymous when recommending a grant from your DAF. If you prefer to keep your donation private, simply indicate your preference during the grant recommendation process. Your sponsoring organization will then process the donation without revealing your identity to We Plant it Forward. This ensures that your charitable giving can be as private or public as you wish.

Yes, DAFs offer flexibility in directing your funds to specific causes or programs. When you recommend a grant, you can specify:
General Fund: You can direct your donation to be used where it's most needed within the organization.
